Dr. Roxanne Connelly is a professor and Extension specialist in medical entomology at the Department of Entomology and Nematology, University of Florida. She’s located at the Florida Medical Entomology Lab in Vero Beach, FL.
Dr. Connelly received her PhD in entomology from Louisiana State University. Her responsibilities at University of Florida include maintaining close contact with over fifty mosquito control districts in the state of Florida to address their research and training needs. She maintains contact with county Extension faculty and the public at large by developing educational materials and participating in short courses related to medical entomology.
She is the past president of the American Mosquito Control Association and the Florida Mosquito Control Association. She is a board certified entomologist of the Entomological Society of America.
